Fitting
You can buy maternity bras as early on post-conception as you’d like. In the first few weeks to months, breast tenderness is real, so we recommend looking for wireless and seamless styles. If you’re looking to get more wear out of your bras and are looking to breastfeed, we recommend purchasing nursing bras instead.
You can buy nursing bras at any stage of your pregnancy, then simply begin using them for nursing once bub is born, if you still feel the size is working for you. If using solely for nursing, we recommend fitting at approx. 8 months of pregnancy, which will generally be your projected size post birth.
We recommend the three bra rule: one to wear, one in the wash and one in the drawer.
Cake designs and stocks one of the most comprehensive ranges of nursing bras in the world. From seamless, contour, spacer, wire, non-wire, fuller figure, plunge, balcony, fuller coverage, sports & sleep bras, we’ve got your every need covered. It is extremely important to be wearing a nursing bra whilst breastfeeding to protect yourself from long term damage and to provide much-needed comfort.
This depends entirely on your lifestyle and your personal preference. Seamless and wireless bras are ideal sleep, lounge, light activity or transitional bras, providing comfort and stretch for growing breasts
Contour bras are ideal for the T-shirt wearers who want a bra that will provide a smooth profile under tees.
Sports bras are designed specifically for exercise, containing more structure to support breasts during low to high impact activity.
Flexi-wire bras are ideal for women who are looking for great shape and extra lift.

The features of a good nursing bra include: additional support for your fuller bust which can be approximately 35% heavier, side support to avoid flattening of the bust which can lead to ligament damage, non-restrictive, a wider set frame to avoid pressure on the milk ducts, cotton lining for comfort and breathability, six hooks and eyes for sizing flexibility as your rib cage expands and contracts & one hand drop down clips for easy nursing.

Most women will require nursing pads at the early stages of breastfeeding, to absorb the excess milk and protect their clothing from wetness and stains. Your body will continue to produce a plentiful supply of milk until it learns to regulate its supply. Excess milk can leak for approx. 8 weeks post birth to varying degrees.
We’re sorry if your size is not available. In this case, we might either be sold out or don’t currently stock your size. However, we’re constantly updating our inventory and working to be more size inclusive with new sizes and styles in the works. Keep an eye out for them!
