The Cake Maternity Story

Cake was born out of our founder, Tracey Montford’s own personal struggle during her pregnancy journey. In her search for comfortable, functional and stylish maternity and nursing wear, it appeared hitting all three was the trifecta that didn’t exist. Suddenly in this new role, she was being forced into this one-size-fits-all mould of how a mother should look—and it wasn’t pretty. She wanted more and realised that if she felt this way, so must many other women across the world.

This became her driving force to create beautiful, high quality, functional and comfortable pieces inspired by her own experiences designed to support mamas on their breastfeeding journey. Bras that truly enhance the lives of women every day, allowing them to fully embrace motherhood & all that it brings to the table.

To this day, Tracey has that same passion and vision driving her, encouraging women to breastfeed for as long as possible in a supported & educated community.

Great purchase! The material is thick, supportive and fits nicely. Will definitely purchase another!

Almost perfect. I'm 4'11", currently 8 months pregnant on #2, and wearing a 36h or i (US). Bought a large. Last pregnancy they only had the "regular" version, so I wore that, but of course was spilling out quite a bit. It wasn't anything I could wear in company. This, I can! And it's almost perfect. My only complaint is that the sides/armpit area are a little sloppy and bunchy. Probably because I'm 4'11", and normally a 32 band. I imagine on a taller person, or a more broad shouldered person, it would be fine. That said, I also have to say, way to go on the straps. The straps are angled and really well drawn in, so they don't slip down and feel really secure and supportive. The underbust band and "shaping" pads go a long way to making me feel comfortable and sort of supported wearing it. And of course, the fact that boobs as big as mine are actually covered in a tank is just amazing. Bought both colors. Go CAKE!! Nude color please?

This is quite large in the belly area, but the cup sizes are good for a woman with larger breasts.

34I/34G here, preferring 36 fit postpartum. I got both a L and XL and I'm actually glad to keep both sizes because I can adjust based on how full I am. Nursing makes fitting tricky but these are super comfy and they are the perfect amount of supportive-but-not-too-tight for me.

Love this tank so I bought two more. I'm measuring between 34G and 34GG UK right now, and the L is a really good fit.
