The Cake Maternity Story

Cake was born out of our founder, Tracey Montford’s own personal struggle during her pregnancy journey. In her search for comfortable, functional and stylish maternity and nursing wear, it appeared hitting all three was the trifecta that didn’t exist. Suddenly in this new role, she was being forced into this one-size-fits-all mould of how a mother should look—and it wasn’t pretty. She wanted more and realised that if she felt this way, so must many other women across the world.

This became her driving force to create beautiful, high quality, functional and comfortable pieces inspired by her own experiences designed to support mamas on their breastfeeding journey. Bras that truly enhance the lives of women every day, allowing them to fully embrace motherhood & all that it brings to the table. 

To this day, Tracey has that same passion and vision driving her, encouraging women to breastfeed for as long as possible in a supported & educated community.

This is everything I want in a bra, maternity or no! I want next level comfort, to feel like I’m not wearing a bra - this bra delivers. It’s supportive, and since becoming pregnant I’ve been experiencing painful nipple vasospasm - not when I’m wearing this bra though! And it looks good! Winner.

Beautifully comfortable bra! Its supportive, soft and stylish for everyday clothes!! So getting another one! True to size, although I'm usually a medium and its a bit small around the boobs, but I think pregnancy has made me an L size instead.

I’m probably somewhere between M and L, as the cups are slightly overflowing, but I don’t like a loose band. The support in this is great considering how comfortable it is, and I love how it looks too!

I’m on my 5th year wearing nursing bras and can say this is truly one of the most comfortable, feminine, and functional nursing bras I have tried on. The fabric is soft and the design is so flattering. Its high quality materials look and feel great. This is a racer back bra so it goes great with racer back style t-shirts. Unfortunately the straps show with my regular t-shirts that are v-neck or scoop-neck, so I decided to return it. I wish it came in a regular strap style too.
